How Appearance Protection pays out for you.
Appearances matter. Even small dents, dings, and interior tears can affect your vehicle’s appearance and its long-term value. Appearance Protection helps preserve your investment by making it easy and affordable to repair minor damage quickly, so it stays looking good for years to come.
Your policy covers three benefits: Paintless Dent/Ding repair for minor exterior damage, Upholstery repair for interior damage, and Glass Deductible Reimbursement to offset the deductible you pay to your primary insurer on a glass claim. Coverage limits depend on whether you have a 2-year or 3-year policy.
Documents you’ll need.
Appearance Protection claims start with clear photos of the damage and a repair estimate from your technician. Glass Deductible claims also need your primary insurer’s settlement documents. Gather these before you call and we’ll typically process your file within 3–5 business days once we have everything.
Benefits Request Form
Your signed form listing policy number, date the damage occurred, described vehicle, and which benefit you’re claiming — Paintless Dent/Ding, Upholstery, or Glass Deductible. We’ll email this to you when we open your file.
Photos of the Damage
Clear, well-lit photos showing the dent, stain, tear, or other damage from multiple angles, plus a wider shot showing where on the vehicle the damage is located.
Repair Estimate or Invoice
A written estimate or completed invoice from your technician describing the damage and the cost to repair it. For Paintless Dent/Ding, the technician needs to confirm the dent doesn’t exceed 2″ x 2″. Call us before authorizing any repair work.
Glass Claim Documents
For Glass Deductible Reimbursement only — a copy of your primary insurer’s settlement statement showing the deductible you paid, plus a void cheque or pre-authorized debit form for EFT payment.
What happens next.
Once your file is complete, most Appearance Protection claims are reviewed within 3–5 business days. Here’s what to expect from submission to payout.
Day 1
We confirm receipt
Email submissions are reviewed in the order received. We’ll confirm what’s arrived, flag anything still missing, and reach out directly if we need clarification on the damage or repair details.
Days 3–5
Claim reviewed
Our claims team reviews the repair or replacement details against your policy’s coverage limits and eligibility conditions. If approved, you’ll receive a payout letter detailing the benefit that will be applied to your claim.
After approval
Benefit paid out
Your approved benefit is paid per your policy terms — either directly to the repair facility where possible, or reimbursed to you via EFT wherever we can. You’ll receive confirmation once the payment is issued.
